Immunizations
Immunizations are the best way to dramatically reduce your risk of getting a variety of serious illness.Vaccinations use the body’s own immune system to prevent occurrences of serious diseases. According to the Centers for Disease Control(CDC), vaccines contain the same antagonist or parts of antagonist that cause diseases, but the antigens in the vaccines are either killed or greatly weakened. When they are injected into the muscle, vaccine antigens are not strong enough to produce the symptoms and signs of the disease but are strong enough for the immune system to produce antibodies against them.
We provide common immunizations including:
Flu Shot
FluMist High dose flu shot designed specifically for people 65 years and older
Tetanus (Td)
Tdap- Tetanus immunization also containing protection against pertussis (whooping cough). Adolescents and adults 11-64 should receive a single dose of Tdap.
